    Have you ever watched a bad pirated video? Ever watch how it sometimes pixelates and morphs into the next frame? That’s what I’m trying to do. The video blurs and pixelates, then the pixels move to morph into the next good frame.

    Oh, the reason I’m trying to do this is to simulate a hacked signal onto a pre-existing video stream. The static fade of pirate tv isn’t relative anymore. Kids don’t even know what static on a tv looks like these days.

    There are a couple of BadTv/Distortion bundles you might want to check out at AEscripts

    Some of the Twitch effects from VideoCoPilot will also create that effect.

    you should check out this thread too, I posted a project that does a little distortion type of looks too. Won’t totally simulate pixelated tv/hacked signal, but it might give you some ideas of how to start a project like that: https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/202/897932#897952
