I’m a VJ and projection mapper. I’m just getting started in AE and I have a few beginner’s projects I’d like to complete in order to get on the right track.

I’m using masks and stroke to create a line that follows a predetermined path while leaving a dragging tail that fades away behind it (Not just a solid end)

Here is what I’m trying to replicate:

Here you can see lines like I am describing, as well as lines that fully-stroke their paths quickly, then fade away (This I have figured out)

Should I be adjusting the timing for Opacity, or is it something else?

    Any help would be appreciated.
