  speed edit how to

  I am wondering how to export a 60x speed edit from quicktime? It seems not to be an available function, yet I see speed edits at this rate on youtube?
  I have tried importing a file into FCPX and speeding it up but it seems to loose a lot of quality?

  How do people successfully make speed edits?
