Demo reel confusion !
So here’s the thing ,I’m on a Film ‘PRODUCTION’ course where mostly I ‘Produce/Production manage’ projects and not too much editing.
Halfway through the course ,I realized editing is what I like and want to further specialise in editing. So I started practicing Premiere Pro CC on my own , with some stock footage and a couple of short films which my friends produced.
MY QUESTION IS ;
If I make a DEMO REEL which features all my Production work ( stuff which I haven’t edited,but produced..a couple of shots are from projects that I did edit) -I’m editing this myself ,so can this be considered as an editing reel? Since I’m actually editing and putting together this demo reel ( as if I’m editing a reel for some company/someone).
So can I send this as my Demo reel if someone asks me to show them my editing skills?
P.s : This is only temporary, soon I will be attending another short editing course and will make a more professional editing demo reel
