Hey Guys Newb here, trying to enhance a video for our Easter Drama. I want to add an ellipse overlaying the video on one part. The ellipse will have a photo that I would like to zoom on during the clip.I dont want the ellipse to move during this zoom. I would like to feather this ellipse with the background video. Thats all I want, haha. I just cant get that to happen for me..

    Im working on a MBP
    After Effects CS6
    Photoshop cs6 enhanced
    final cut pro x

    Thanks
    Brent

How are you trying to set this up? Are you using a track matte?

Showing a screenshot of your Timeline panel and Composition panel will help us to help you, since we can see what you have so far.

I recommend that you start here to learn After Effects: https://adobe.ly/bjBT3P
