  • Small Blank Window shows when accessing Creative Cloud App

Posted by Lance Moody on November 1, 2013 at 6:26 am

    Just installed Mavericks.

I am seeing a small blank window that appears whenever I call up the CC menubar app.

The window first appears as a thin horizontal line across the screen (I resized it and moved it for the screen shot). If you click on the red button to close it, it closes but reappears the next time you look at CC.

    Anyone else seeing this?

I don’t think it has anything to do with Mavericks. I’m seeing the same thing and cannot get this issue resolved. Anybody know of anything we can do?

    Suzanne,

My issue just apparently resolved itself–no more box.

I had an online chat with Adobe help and here is what fixed my problem.

    Home folder
    Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE/opm.db
    Delete this file.
Quit CC Desktop app and restart it.

I’m on a Mac. I think Windows folks have the same file, I just don’t know where to find it.

This cleared up my problem immediately. Hopefully this will help someone else having this issue.

I didn’t find that file on my mac. I uninstalled creative cloud and the problem still appeared when using opera browser.
Anyone got any ideas how to fix this?

In my case: deleted the file, quit creative cloud, the file recreated itself right away, didn’t resolve it.

I have the same thing; this fix did not fix for me.
    Driving me nuts.
Adobe tech has no idea what I’m talking about.

Funny that Adobe Tech has no idea when the question is all over the forums I’ve read. I don’t have the .db file either. Has anyone been able to solve this yet?
