  BMPC And Timecode

  Greetings,

  We just took delivery of a new BMPC 4K (after using the BMCC) and love it! However, it’s a bit frustrating not being able to jam timecode with it. We’re shooting a doc and recording sound to an SD 633. Any chance there could be a software update for this? Does anyone have a workaround?

  I doubt BMD will add TC input as a feature for the BMPC-4K.

  (Their new URSA cam will have a separate TC input connector.)

  I’ve seen mentioned online that you can record TC on one of the BMPC-4K’s audio channels, and in post Davinci Resolve can use it. Other post software may have similar capability.
