  Timecode Overlays: Some discrepancies

  We have normally used AVID for reference outputs, but I am trying to streamline our show’s output process by creating some customized settings in AME (lo-rez exports with TC burn in). I have noticed however, that when selecting 30 Drop Frame from “GENERATE” in the effects tab in Encoder, it is completely different when comparing with a 30 DF overlay that we created in AVID. Both sequences start at 00:59:50:00, but there is a ten minute difference between ending TC. Not sure what is going on here. Is AME handling 30DF incorrectly? Is AVID? If anyone has had any experience or knowledge on the issue, I’d greatly appreciate some insight. Thanks!
