  0:2:41:00 AE Project takes 2 Hours to Render

  Hi Folks.

  I have a quick question. Mainly to see if my expectations are too high. I have a 2 minute and 41 second after effects project that has three video files (1080p) and three audio files in the time line. I am also doing some simple text animations and I’m using BOX BLUR for some of the type animations and CAMERA LENS BLUR with LEVELS when i fade in and out the Video.

  My System:
  OSX El Capitan
  After Effects and Media Encoder 2015
  2×2.4ghz Quad Xeon
  32 Gigs of ram
  ATI Radeon HD5770

  I have tried: AE Project in 32bpc with Media Encoders Quicktime format and H264 encoding at 20mbps
  I have tried: AE Project in 8bpc with Media Encoders Vimeo preset (single pass 1080p)

  The question, is it common for this type of project to render in 1 hour and 45 minutes?

  Hi everyone. Im hoping someone can answer this as I’m about to send this project Media Encoder again for another render.
