    Hi Community,

My media encoder cs 5.5, (os10.10.2) will not encode anything, worked flawless yesterday, now it has lost connection to disks.

    “Adobe Media Encoder
An error was encountered while writing the output file. The output file “…../Desktop/Session 1 REDO F Closing – Conty 2:26_4.mp4″ could not be created. Check that the output directory still exists. If the output directory is on a network or external device, check that the connection is active.”

I have trashed preferences, reinstalled, moved/changed drives from external to desktop all to have a sheep sound at me when I try to render.

    Any ideas?

    thanks,
    -j

Found the issue, was in the naming convention. Evidently Media Encoder does not like a file with : in it.

Thanks to anyone who has looked and thought about the issue.
