  AME slow until I quit AE

  It seems that when I export a composition from AE to AME, AME renders super slow until I quit After Effects, then it speeds way up (no other apps are running). Any suggestions about what to do?

  My set up: 2012 Mini Quad Core, OS 10.9.5, 10gb ram, AE and AME CC 2014

  AE prefs:

  RAM reserved for other applications:
  Tried it set to 2GB and 5GB and had the same issue

  Render Multiple Frames Simultaneously:
  Tried it both checked and not checked and had the same issue

  Install the 2014.1 updates for After Effects and Adobe Media Encoder. A bug was fixed in this version that caused Dynamic Link to be slow when the After Effects user interface was open.
