  Media Encoder AVI to MP4 – Audio Loss/Distortion

  Hi there

  I’m finally getting around to organising my iTunes library and I’m converting a load of old movie files from AVI format to MP4.

  I’m using the Apple iPad preset at 360p.

  Approximately half of the files I’m converting come out with either no audio at all, or very distorted audio, which sounds like it’s been slowed down. I can’t seem to find any commonality in the files that don’t work – it isn’t related to their frame rate, and all the files have 48000Ghz audio.

  The other half of the files are fine…

  Any ideas what might be causing this on some files but not others??
