  Extremely long conversion time- AVCHD to ProRes422

  I’m trying to convert AVCHD footage to Apple ProRes 422 using media encoder and it is literally taking 8 hours to convert less than 2 hours worth of footage. What is going on here? That can’t be right. Any ideas? Thanks!!
