  • CS6 “Could not read from source.” Error.

    Hey there.

I’m using Adobe Media Encoder CS6 (6.0.1) and trying to transcode some .mxf files to ProRes. Unfortunately, I can’t get passed dragging the files into AME. When I do, I get the error:

“The file [FILE NAME].MXF could not be imported. Could not read from source. Please check the settings and try again.”

I didn’t have this issue with the very same files when using CS 5.5, so I have no idea what’s going on.

Other file types work without issue. I also tried copying the files from my external hard drive to my desktop and then dragging from there to no avail.

    Help please.

Same issue here (files are in an external USB drive) did you find a fix for this?

    Thanks
    Mario

I am unable to load mxf files to AME cs6. for decoding/converting. I get the error: *.MXF could not be imported. could not read from the source file. Please check settings and try again.
Can anyone help please. Which settings is to be checked? Thanks for any help.
