Hi, i’m wondering if somebody can advise me on how to create a snow effect. I would like to have two layers of snow, one with a snowflake in the foregound and another which will be a different snowflake behind, slightly blurred and falling a bit slower.

If anyone has an idea how to do this i would love to hear from ya.

    Cheers
    Alistair

This is very easy to do with particle plugins. You could either use the ones included with AE or third-party ones.

Wondertouch’s ParticleIllusion has some absolutely gorgeous snow presets in their library. (They’ve got THOUSANDS of presets available for FREE)

I’m sure you could create something cool with Trapcode’s Particular as well (and this one’s 3d!)
