  Permission Denied – trying to open a Library!

  I’ve got a project that originated on a drive that’s going bad (no longer enables write permission). I’ve copied the whole thing to a new drive and opened the copied library in FCP with only two clips unable to relink. And I need those clips.

  So I closed the library and deleted the FCP generated backup from my main drive. When I try to load the original library from the original disc I get a message that says:

  The operation couldn’t be completed. Permission denied. The bundle is already in use by “Username” on “jeff’s-imac.local”.

  I’ve rebooted the computer. Same message.

  Anyone know a way around this? And what that actually means?

  I may be looking at having to rebuild the whole project. Hope not!
