Aspect Ratio of the Ken Burns Effect in Final Cut Pro X
I recently moved up to FCP X from iMovie and I am having trouble with the Ken Burns Effect in FCP X. It worked well in iMovie for me. I have been shooting all of my photos in the 16 to 9 aspect ratio so I can incorporate them into a timeline with video. When I try to use the Ken Burns effect on them, the start and stop movable boxes are fixed in the 4 to 3 ratio and will NOT change. Is there a setting to change these boxes to the 16 to 9 ratio? I cannot use the effect as is because my video clips immediately jump to the 4/3 aspect ratio of the Ken Burns effect when applied to my photos and the black bars appear at the end of the photos. Never had this issue on iMovie where the aspect ratio of the movable boxes was always 16/9. Any help would be appreciated!
