    Hi guys,

sorry for writing in the FCP X forum, but there is no Compressor one..

    Anyway.

I wonder if you have encountered this issue in Compressor 4.4. I’m trying to make a new QT setting with DNx compression but I can’t for the sake of it choose the DNx codec. I’ve trying uninstalling Compressor, removing Avid LE codecs, used Compressor repair toll from Digital Rebellion, still no luck. There is just a greyed out LEGACY option.

    Any advice?

I have a backup in the form of ffWorks.

    Thanks!

There’s a thread about this on the Debate forum. See this support doc.

Do you have all the ProApps Supplemental packs installed? Should be a default App Store update. Which OS version? Do you also have FCPX installed?

    Thanks for responding Oliver,

I think I have all the Pro Apps packs installed, just in case… How can I find out if I’m up to date? Just through App Store? OSX is 10.13.6 – High Sierra on my MBP. FCPX is installed. The Compressor version is 4.4.2 – 64 bit. On my other machine iMac (Late 2013) I have the 4.4 version a there is a option for exporting DNxHD.

Yes, launch the App Store application and click updates. It should list whether any updates are needed. If, so click “update all”. It’s odd that other machines list it, but that one doesn’t. I’ll check my own machine shortly.

I just checked mine. I’m seeing what you are. It seems to be gone. If you have Adobe CC, you could try AME instead.
