    Hey guys,

As the title says, I have 3840×2160 footage and I’m trying to make it 2:35 by making the project custom 3840×1634 resolution. That part went fine but when doing so the footage is placed into the super wide frame leaving vertical black bars on the left and right of the footage. Versus the full width of the footage fitting into the full width of the project frame. Is there some simple option I need to select somewhere? Some kind of “full frame” or “crop to fit” option I’m missing.

At present, I started the project file at 3840×2160 then manually changed it to 3840×1634 after a few clips were already in the timeline, if that matters.

    Thanks!
    Glenn

I just found that you can highlight all clips in the timeline, go to “spacial conform” in the inspector settings and select “fill” from the dropdown box and it seems to make it fill the frame correctly. I’m wondering if that’s the proper way to go about it without causing issues down the line.

    Thanks for any input!

You should be fine with that workflow. You can change the Spatial Conform of the clips before they are edited in the timeline. Just select the clips in the Browser and choose the setting you want.
