    Hello,

I was handed a new project today. Everything seems fine but every time I open FCPX some of the proxies are missing and need to be transcoded again. And some some of clips’ timecode changes to 00:00:00:00. What the actual heck?

It’s FCPX 10.4, the imports aren’t copied in the Library Storage Location and I don’t have the space for Optimized Media.

I’m just wondering if this is a common issue.

Does anyone know what to root cause could be?

    Thanks,
    Odille

I’m wondering if this might be the sign of a faulty external hard drive…

I think I figured it out:

There was no DIT on the shoot so every card had files that had the same titles. So every time proxies were made, they would overwrite other ones. I’m not 100% sure this is the case but renaming the source files fixed it.
