Audio Channels
Hi!
I’m trying to edit some soccer footage, but having some trouble with the audio channels.
When I open the file (.mov) in ie VLC, I can choose between two audio channels (one with, and one without commentator). But when I import the .mov to FC (10.4.3) I have only one working channel. Channel 2 is without sound…
Any tips?

If one channel worked, you’d expect them both to… My only thought would be to open the file in your audio editor of choice and export the tracks individually, then import to FCPX.

Have you set the channels to dual mono in FCPX?

In dual mono I have two channels, but they both have the same sound. The commentary channel is nowhere to find…
Tried this on another MacBook now, and having the same issue….

Was the original video captured as, P2 by any chance?

What format is the media from and what version of FCPX are you using?

If you can, download fcp 10.4.3, reimport and try again.
