  Issues adding transitions to project?

  Hi,

  I have added about 15 video clips to my project, which runs to about 3 minutes in length. However, when I add transitions between each of the individual video components, it compresses and shortens the video clip before and after the transition.

  I have tried to edit the individual clips by highlighting them and pulling the grab handles to lengthen each video component, but it won’t let me do this.

  Can anyone help?

  How do you mean “shortens”? Is there enough media on the head and tail of the clips to do a transition? What kind of transitions are you applying?
