  Esata Drive not showing up

  After a hard drive crash I reinstalled Sierra. Now for some reason my external esata Drive does not show up on my desktop. I have a Mac Pro Intel, mid 2010. I have a feeling it needs a driver, but I’m not sure which sata card I have in the Mac. Is there a way to see this in the Mac profiles?

  The weird thing is I have snow leopard loaded on another hard drive, and when I boot that drive up, the esata Drive shows on the desktop. That drive showed up in Sierra before the crash. Any suggestions? Thanks so much.

  You can try Sonnet drivers. Even if your card is not a Sonnet it might have the same chipset. Find the card that is the closest match here and give it a shot: https://www.sonnettech.com/product/computercards/index.html

  Thanks Brett. After going through emails I found it was a CalDigit. Downloaded the drivers and I’m in business!
