I have a video section with detached audio in my timeline. When I try to highlight both and delete, the rest of the audio behind it also gets deleted though it was not highlighted (?)

    help please thanks

Is the audio behind it a connected clip to the piece you are deleting? if so, move that clip so it’s not attached to the clip you are deleting.

it is detached from the clip. So I have a small section of image clip with detached audio directly under it. I used the blade tool to set my in and out points of both. If I highlight both and try to delete, the proceeding image clip will properly magnet/join but the audio won’t move with it. Instead, all the rest of the proceeding detached audio disappears. Alternatively, If I try to highlight both the proceeding image clip and audio that I want to resume and use the position tool to pull them over the unwanted clip/audio, then the audio track jumps up onto my image clip timeline. Frustrating.
