Squiggly lines after a dissolve
I have a dissolve at the beginning of a project and a shot after it with a very light top half of the frame. Having the dissolve before it causes squiggly, flowing lines at that top half of the frame. Without the dissolve they are not there. Anyone have any idea what might be causing it, and how it can be dealt with?

Thanks Noah. Attaching a screen shot of an exported quicktime. It’s the dark lines in the top half of the screen, a bit hard to see, sorry. They move and are quite pronounced atctually, flowing across the top of the frame, and disappear after the dissolve is over.

Hmm hard to tell what’s wrong without seeing what it should look like. But I’d try recutting the same footage over again and add the transition again.

Thanks Noah. I tried it again and still happens. It plays with the squiggly lines when in the View area, and same when exported as a quicktime.
Could it be that it’s a cross dissolve at the beginning of the project? Maybe I need to insert a clip of black before the dissolve? what I’m really trying to accomplish is a fade in come to think of it…
