I’m planning to put 4 go-pros on a small platform, facing the cardinal directions, the platform on a stand in the center of a ring of around 9 players, jammed into a living room, for an “in the round” recording night. Audio mix will come from a Teac digital audio recorder co-located with the go-pros, aimed at the lead singer. Back-up audio mix from three other mics goes into a 5th, wide shot camera.
Any fcpx tips for the later edits?

Conventional cutting, removing spherical distortion and re-framing the shots, perhaps adding motion.

Sounds like a basic multicam switch to me then. Definitely you’ll want to optimize all media on ingest or performance will be a nightmare with all of that H.264 decoding.
