After the update my timeline is expanded all the way and I cannot shrink it to see the whole project. Each frame is showing. How do I shrink the project so I can see it all?

Click in the timeline to make it the active space, then:
    Cmd – Zoom Out
    Cmd + Zoom In
    Shift Z Fit All

Also, there are controls under the little film icon on the far right, next to the Effects and Transitions icons.

If you are having an issue with these commands try switching to the Default Set in the Command Editor. Sometimes customized sets have issues when you update.
