  QT ref and audio exports problems with X2Pro

  Hi guys,

  Does anyone have any experience using QT Ref files for editing (when using synched video and audio) and then exporting it for audio mixing as an AAF?

  Because my editor has been struggling for two days to export four shows for Audio mixing. The entire series was editing using QT Ref files, but when exporting the audio to AAF using X2PRO…. the synch audio was completely missing. Apparently, X2Pro considers the QT Ref files als EMPTY files (which they are) and therefor doesn’t contain any audio.

  So… we’re at a loss now… the show cannot be mixed unless we find some other way to have the original audio exported to AAF. Does anyone have a better trick than relaying all the original audio by hand?

  Can you optimize the ref files in fcpx?

  I’m assuming was cut in FCP7 or earlier originally? Ref files will be a major issue.
