  Moving text across the screen – doesn’t look good in FCP

  I’ve built a sequence with words moving across a black background. Pretty basic. Maybe I’m moving them too fast, or rendering incorrectly, but the movie doesn’t look good when I bring it into Final Cut, or when I export the entire FCP sequence out to a QT movie. The letters look jagged….

  Is this simply that I need to watch it on a TV monitor?
  Are there any tricks to make text look better. Things to watch out for?

  Check your interlace settings.

  thanks guys. I burned a DVD and it actually looks good on the TV monitor.
