  finally looking at Vector Paint: what are some uses for this?

  Here’s the first line from the After Effects CS3 Help page on Vector Paint:

  “For most drawing and painting tasks, use shape tools and paint tools, not the Vector Paint effect.”

  We took it out of After Effects CS5 and later.
