December 9, 2015 at 9:12 pmCarbon copy cloner, super duper, etc. What exactly do you want to sync? Do you want to just copy a library to the server? If your media is kept outside of the library I have an automator service you might find useful.

December 9, 2015 at 9:30 pmWe create custom lower third templates in Motion.
To use them in one mac account I would copy the folder of these goodies to the Movie folder on the internal drive, and FCPX would automatically find it, and it would be available as a Custom title.. I want the same result, but want to store the motion files (lots of them) on a server, so many users can access them.

December 9, 2015 at 9:43 pmAh, what you really want is to sync motion templates across all systems with a localized folder. That’s what we do.
Email me at info @ magicfeatherinc.com and i’ll share an in-house tutorial we made to get you going.

December 11, 2015 at 3:54 amI always highly recommend Chronosync for things like this. It can be a bit of a challenge to figure out how to use it, but once you figure it out, it’s super flexible.
I use it for everything from keeping my Motion projects in sync over multiple workstations to making incremental backups of my editing drive.
