• Apple Final Cut Pro

  What is this? I hit some keys…and saw something I didn’t recognize in the timeline.

  So, I hit some keys, and my timeline looked like this. I have no idea what I did but it wasn’t acting normally. Well, it probably was acting normally if I knew what I did. Here is a photo: 8960_screenshot20150619at2.16.48pm.png.zip

  What setting is this? I’m referring to the grey line with the little tab at the end of my clips. I dont know what that is or what it was doing.

  It’s the precision editor. There’s a big button that says “Close the Precision editor” on the bottom right.

  It’s a method of trimming where you can skim the incoming and outgoing clips and move the edit point accordingly.

  Control-e is the shortcut
