    Hello all,

Since upgrading to 10.2.1 I’ve had a difficult time importing JPGs into FCPX.

When I render the JPG portions tend to pixilate. I’ve attached a screen shot of the post export process, one window shows FCPX and my timeline and the other shows the rendered file playing in QuickTime player.

I’ve tried with multiple JPGs and have removed and reinstalled FCPX according to the steps provided at the following: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202412

Any help would be very helpful as I use FCPX heavily, weekly but am at a loss.

    Couple of things to investigate:

What are your project settings in FCPX (frame size, interlaced/progressive, etc.)?

Open the offending JPEG in Preview, and open the inspector. Under the ‘General Info’ tab, what are the values for Image Size, DPI, and Color Model?

I’d switch to PNGs or TIFs and see if that makes a difference.
