issue withe “share movie” in FCP X 10.2
Posted by Valentin Savenkov on April 25, 2015 at 6:22 amI updated FCP X to 10.2 two days ago an maybe do not understand some simple things. Thus, when I try to share project via Master File I receive notification: “This item cannot be shared while it is still referencing media on the camera”. Meanwhile, all the video files were copied to computer’s HDD. Who knows, how to resolve this problem?

April 25, 2015 at 8:08 pmWhat happens if you tell FCPX to consolidate the media? That might refresh the database of it’s getting confused.

April 26, 2015 at 3:21 amThank you for the advice Jeff!
Really, after consolidating some events I have found that some imported fils are still referenced to camera. And now I am trying to reimport some archive folders.
Thank you!
My another trouble is that FCP do not want to import still images 🙁 Any suggestions? -

April 26, 2015 at 6:29 amMaybe you use a not supported image type?

Maybe you used unsupported settings in photoshop. (32bit?, color modes? alpha channels?).

April 26, 2015 at 5:45 pmStrange, I’ve never had problems with the same images in FCP X 10.1.4…

April 27, 2015 at 1:22 pmI am sorry I can not help you , but I do know this was an issue for some in 10.1.4 too. There is definitely a long thread about it over on the Apple forums. I found it when I had a similar issue.
I could not ‘fix’ my issue, so I seem to remember it was an the lines of:
Export XML
Full uninstall of FCP X and remove al the media, followed by a re installThen open the new FCP X and either re import all the footage, or and the XMP file and re link.
I was usign media outside the library, not managed media within the bundle
