  Final Cut can’t see video to import

  Shot and imported for many days successfully — , but on one day in particular, can’t import — Final Cut X can’t see most of the clips (which were imported to a drive from P-2 cards used in the Pansonic HPX250P.) Again, this has worked for at least 30 days on the project but not on this day. I know the clips are there, because i can see them in the drive and even drag them independently into Final Cut X, but that creates a hassle, because I must fuse audio and video after I import.

  What’s going on? Why on this one day can’t Final Cut “see” the clips to import?

  Did you preserve the original card file structure on the copy to hard drive? That’s what FCPX uses to ingest P2.

  Yes. Exactly we did what we did with all the other successful files copied. It’s just the one that is not behaving like the others (actually two cards on that day are weird — Final Cut can see some of the clips on them but not all. ) Totally baffled. Any other thoughts?
