  FCPX 10.1.2 extra features

  A few things I noticed that weren’t in the official release notes.

  Relinking is smarter. Just choose a drive and wait, it’ll dig through subfolders.

  New options in the speed change menu (I think). Now you can auto jump cut wherever you place a marker. I’m not sure why I’d use that yet but looks cool. I think there are a few new speed ramp options but I don’t use that stuff much so maybe it was already there.

  Edit point with [,],\ seems to have changed. Once you have an edit point selected, your playhead no longer needs to stay on the edit point to change the selection. To see what I mean:

  1) select an edit point [
  2) play back a few seconds
  3) now select a different edit point with ] or \

  Pretty useful for fine tuning the edit point. Works with shift for audio as well.

  Anyone find anything else?

  No changes to retiming. All that was already there.

  Ditto. That came with 10.1.
