  Grouping Events (other than Library)

  One shortcoming, at least for me, in FCPX10.1 is the inability to group Events. Or of there is a way, I don’t know how. For instance, in a current project I have a new Event for each day’s shoot. I want to be able to create and choose, just ONE Smart or keyword collection and see ALL the clips that are a match and not have to click into each and every Event first.

  Can someone suggest a better way to accomplish this?

  This is one area where I don’t like how the new Library structure works in FCPX.

  I would suggest sending a feature request to Apple.

  In the mean time, you would have to use one Event, and then use keywords and smart collections in that one Event to separate your files (Day 1, Day 2 collections, etc).
