  • Exporting title files from timeline to plain text with timecode?

Posted by Sj Miller on May 19, 2014 at 2:00 pm

I have a rather long edit, using fcp x titles for subtitles. They were originally to be hardcoded into the exported final edit.

However it may be better to export without them and create a .srt file so that they can be used in vlc / youtube / etc.

I’m wondering if anyone knows of an automated tool that’ll export my text and timecode intact from the timeline… rather than me re-typing it all w a lot of copy / pasting.

    Thanks

Madonna was old school. – its now less “living in a material world” and more “living in a metadata world”.

    Glad you found a solution.
