  Splitting Video into clips automatically

  I captured about 1 h of video from a camcorder. How can I split that video into individual clips automatically in Final Cut Pro X?

  Well, you can’t. But you can use the skimmer to quickly select each clip and hit F for Favorite. Then with the Browser in List view, all those Favorites will be listed. rename each of them–easiest to do right when you create them. They act and look kind of like subclips (which they are, of course) but without the subclip limits.
