  MY FCPX is ACTING CRAZY!!

  Has this happened to anyone??? I went to work on a project, opened up FCPX and this happened. It stays on the splash screen and it never goes away. I trashed the preferences, restarted my computer and it would work normally after that. Then I found another problem. My effects would not load. It kept showing THEMES. After that I would close the app and open it again and it would do this. It’s driving me crazy! this has never happened to me before.

  Rob,

  I experienced similar symptoms a version or two ago. It turns out it was an Audio Unit plugin that I had installed. It totally corrupted FCPX. I couldn’t figure out why all of a sudden the application just would not work. Once I removed the AU, everything went back to normal.

  Have you installed any new audio plugins?

  Hey Paul I appreciate the info! It was an AU Plugin that caused it act funky. I did a process of elimination by removing the plugins to another folder and adding them back into the original! Thanks a lot!
