    Hi there –

I’m working on a behind the scenes piece and there are some real audio problems – lots of background noise, etc. Curious what plugins, or perhaps other programs, people are using to correct troubled audio.

    Thanks,
    Pam

Pam send me a couple of the worst clips and I’ll fix them for you. Dave1327@msn.com

iZotope RX III Advanced is my go to noise reduction program. That said, I have many others, too. Certain noises are better cleaned by other plugs.

John have you found anything for low frequency transient pulses that’s not cedar dethump? They’re so expensive. I have not been able to find anything that comes even close.

I’m fairly certain RX can do this, but I’ve never tried as I usually correct for thumps during a session. You might try posting in the Audio Professionals forum. There are some very experienced folks over there who might have specific suggestions.
