I’m creating text quarter-thirds in ae. I want to do the text white to read over the dark footage in fcp. Is it possible to export the animated text in a format that will have a transparent background and white type over the footage in fcp? Sorry if this is a dumb newbie question.

    Do not Export. Render.

Set the Output Module to Channels: RGB+Alpha, Depth: Millions of Colors +, Color: Straight.

If you have FC Studio 3, set the Format Options…Compression Type to Apple ProRes 4444.

If not, set it to Animation.

    Thanks for the help.
Ok…I think I did everything you said.
But the lower-third came into FC with a black background…wanted it transparent.
I set the background on the AE composition to white (#ffffff).
    What did I do wrong?

PS, I’m in Final cut studio 3

I fine-tooth-combed it, and guess what?
You were right! (Don’t you love hearing that?)

It worked. Thanks to both of you!
