  Fix for problem using EventMgrX to update/create new FCX 10.1 libraries, it’s causing FCX to freeze?

  Hi, Followed instructions on FCP.co site to create specific libraries in V10.1. When I get to the step: “update projects & events” in FCX, then “update all”… FCX freezes

  I installed a fresh download of EMX, manually trashed the databases & .plist that EMX creates and trashed the (2 now?) FCX prefences p.lists.

  Still hanging. Anyone know of a fix to move through this? Thanks…

  It could be the project/event rather than anything specific to Event Manager X. From what I’ve read and personal experience, the update process can freeze on large projects and/or ones that use a lot of compound clips.

  I have four current projects that cause FCPX to freeze if I try to convert them. I’m thinking I might have to try transferring those via XML for now.
