  • delete all effects and settings with a shortcut?

Posted by Clermond Ferrand on October 11, 2013 at 8:08 am

Excuse my ignorance if this has been brought up before. Actually I am playing around with FilmConvert and I want to compare various settings in the timeline. If I copy settings from one clip to another with [cmd C] and [cmd Shift V] all effects are added additionally to already existing effects. So I have to bring back this clip to its original state.

How can I reset a clip in the timeline to Zero? Is there a shortcut to delete all effects and reset all adjustments?

    Thanks for your time.

    1. Have a look at Auditions. Cmd+Shift+Y will turn the clip on the timeline into “Audition” and add duplicate of it in it’s original state. You can duplicate as much as you want and compare clips by switching between picks.

    or

    2. Shift+F then Shift+R.

    Hope that helps.

    Sure.
Shift+F is for “Match frame”. It finds the clip from the timeline in the event library and marks in and out points.
Shift+R replaces the clip on the timeline with what you have selected in the event library.
    Hope that helps.
