Is there no way to copy/paste effects to multiple clips at once? Or is there also a way to make a universal audio adjustment to multiple selected clips?? thanks

Yes you can cmnd + c to copy the clip, then highlight the clips you want, then shift + cmnd + v to paste. If you need to adjust audio for several clips at once, highlight them, the inspector indicates at the top how many clips its inspecting. You can then adjust volume, or delete effects.
