  I’m editing on fcpx 10.0.8
  With regards to Hd footage,
  How much can we scale the video up to before it pixellates

  If you can help it would be much appreciated

  I’ve found that FCPX scales footage very well. You’ll want to experiment and view the result on a display that represents the delivery platform of the content. Adding a little bit of sharpening to scaled footage can be helpful.
