Moving transcoded media out of event
We like to keep media outside of events as referenced clips. We got some Avid DNxHd eps of a show, keyword tagged it, and then overnight we created high quality media via transcoding. I want to essentially replace all the DNxHD footage with the prores footage but keep my keyword tags. Can I move the high quality media out of the event, delete the originals, and then relink to the now out-of-event prores high quality footage?
Just asking before I blow something important away.

Check out where they’re talking about changing the referenced media to non-high quality media before they archive a project. Might be what you’re looking for.

That’s not so much what I was asking, but I did discover that if you optimize/transcode media, then you move that out of the event into the location where you store your prores media, you can relink the DNxHD files to the ProRes and you’ll maintain all your keywords without an issue.
Just tried it and it worked. Whew!
