  • Inverting footage…

What I want to do is take some footage, invert it, and have it running alongside the same clip so it looks like a character is talking to himself. This is pretty easy to do by cropping and re-sizing, the only problem is that there is a visible line between the parallel footage as both of them play at the same time. Is there a way of getting rid of this line? Maybe there’s a plugin that would make this easier to do…

    Blur the edges.

With a perfect kamera lighting setup you shouldn’t see much of a line, but a lot of times its not possible, especially when shooting outoors. The easiest way would be to blur the edges, or if its not very much, simply reposition one of the shots to match the other.

To correct my last advice: its for the situations when you have two different clips. In your case you need to simply blur the edges.

You need the Crop & Feather filer, in the effects browser, under distortion
