  Importing FCPX Projects+Events, MTS Files

  I recently had to get new hard drive, and somehow the Time Machine backup did not keep FCP intact. I do, however, have the FCPX application, as well as the individual files representing each event and project, and ALL of the footage. I’m wondering if there is any reliable way to import these events, projects, and original media back into FCPX, so I can get back to working on my film.

  One of the problems I have had with trying to re-import the MTS files (which are on my computer, but no longer in their original format on the camera) is that they only appear in Final Cut with one layer of sound. I need two layers to appear in FCP, so that I can cut out the background noise. Any help is greatly appreciated.
