    Hello everyone,

I need some advice on project sharing in FCPX. My graduate students work collaboratively on their thesis films, and we are struggling to find a suitable workflow in X. Assuming that both of the students have exactly the same media on their hard drives, what is the best method for sharing projects? Do they make a duplicate copy of the event project and share that event file with their partners? If students add keywords along the way do those keywords get passed on to the partners when they share their files? Can you keep older versions of the Event or do you have to replace it every time you share? Thank you for your help!

You can just share the event file and the project file. As long as everyone has the original media replacing the old version of those files with a new version everything will reconnect. A few issues can pop up but this works pretty well.
